The Ceremony Process
Creating your perfect wedding ceremony is a collaborative journey. Here's how we'll work together:
-
Step 1: Discovery
We meet (in person or virtually) to see if we click. I'll ask about your relationship, your plans for the day, and what kind of ceremony you're envisioning. No pressure—this is just a conversation to see if we're the right fit.
-
Step 2: Gathering Your Story
Once you've decided I'm your celebrant, I'll send you a detailed questionnaire and we'll have deeper conversations about your relationship. How you met, what you love about each other, the challenges you've overcome, the adventures you've shared plus your hopes and dreams for your future together.
-
Step 3: Crafting Your Script
I'll create and craft the first draft of your ceremony. This is where your story comes to life, woven together with warmth, humor, and heart.
-
Step 4: Refining Together
We'll go through the script together, making changes until it's exactly what you want. Too formal? We'll loosen it up. Want more laughter? I'll add it. Not enough about your shared love of terrible 80s movies? Consider it done.
-
Step 5: Your Big Day
I arrive early, calm and ready. I'll coordinate with your other suppliers, make sure everyone knows the plan, and then stand with you as you say the words that matter most. I'll keep things flowing smoothly, handle any hiccups with grace, and make sure your ceremony is everything you dreamed it would be.
Types of Wedding Ceremonies I Create
Every ceremony I write is bespoke, but here are some examples of what we can create together:
-
Outdoor Ceremonies:
Hillsides, beaches, forests, parks, your own garden. If you can dream it, we can make it happen. (I'd even hike to Top Withens in Haworth if that's where your heart is.)
-
Barn and Farm Weddings:
Rustic, relaxed, full of character. Perfect for couples who want a laid-back celebration with hay bales, fairy lights, and dancing under the stars.
-
Stately Home and Manor House Weddings:
Elegant, sophisticated, timeless. For couples who want grandeur with a personal touch.
-
Camper Van and Festival Weddings:
Quirky, alternative, full of personality. Let's celebrate your love in a way that's as unique as you are.
-
Intimate Elopements:
Just the two of you (or a handful of your favorite people). Simple, heartfelt, deeply meaningful.
-
Themed Weddings:
1980s inspired? Literary? Star Wars? If you have a theme, I'm happy to play along. I've been known to dress up.
-
Blended Family Ceremonies:
Including children in the ceremony, creating rituals that honor your new family unit.
-
LGBTQ+ Weddings:
Love is love, and every couple deserves a ceremony that celebrates who they are without reservation.
-
Multicultural and Interfaith Weddings:
Blending traditions, honoring heritage, creating something that speaks to both of your backgrounds.
What People Say
Couples choose me because I'm warm, authentic, and completely invested in making their day perfect. I put people at ease. I listen deeply. I create ceremonies that feel like them, not like something that is copy &-pasted from a generic script or AI.
I'm also incredibly organized. I'll coordinate with your suppliers, keep things running smoothly, and handle any unexpected hiccups with calm and grace. On your wedding day, you shouldn't have to worry about logistics—that's my job.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we get legally married by a celebrant in England?
Not yet, but that's changing. Currently, you'll need to complete a simple legal signing at your local register office. Most couples do this a few days before their celebrant ceremony. It takes about ten minutes, costs around £50-£70, and then you're free to have the ceremony of your dreams.
