Your love story doesn't fit a template. Why should your wedding ceremony?

I can hear you now, "we want something different, meaningful, personal to us, something that feels like us". If you want a joyous, emotional, inclusive and fun ceremony, then that's where I come in. We can collaborate to reflect your growth and transformation as a couple, a celebration that can be the beginning of new things and a ceremony that will leave you and your guests saying "that was so them".

If you want a theme, then have a theme, if you want classic, then have classic, if you want an 80's inspired ceremony, then have that.

Whether you're dreaming of saying your vows on a windswept Yorkshire hillside, in a barn with hay bales and fairy lights, stately home, your own back garden surrounded by people you love, I'm here to make it happen.

I'm Lynette, the celebrant with the pink bob, and I create wedding ceremonies that feel authentically yours. Not stiff. Not scripted. Not like every other wedding you've attended. Just beautifully, joyfully, uniquely you.

Why Choose a Celebrant-Led Wedding?

With a celebrant, you get complete freedom.

You're not limited to licensed venues. You're not restricted by time slots. You're not bound by someone else's script. You can have your ceremony anywhere that means something to you, include whatever rituals speak to your hearts, and create a celebration that truly reflects who you are as a couple.

Want to get married at sunrise with just your closest friends? Done. Want to include your dog in the ceremony? Absolutely. Want to write your own vows, incorporate music and readings that matter to you, or blend traditions from different cultures or religions? Let's do it.

The only limit is your imagination.

A note about legalities: Currently, as an independent celebrant I am unable to perform a legally binding ceremony (however, marriage reform is underway 2026), with the aim that independent celebrants will be able to perform legally binding ceremonies. In accordance with the marriage law of England, you will both be required to give legal notice of marriage, you will need to complete the legal registration of marriage paperwork, at your local authority register office. This process is relatively quick and simple and can be completed prior to your wedding ceremony. Currently, your marriage will not be recognised as legal in the United
Kingdom until the registration of marriage paperwork is completed.office. Most couples do this a few days before their celebrant ceremony. It takes about ten minutes, and then you're free to celebrate in exactly the way you want.

The Ceremony Process

Creating your perfect wedding ceremony is a collaborative journey. Here's how we'll work together:

  • LCS-Emblem-Full-Color

    Step 1: Discovery

We meet (in person or virtually) to see if we click. I'll ask about your relationship, your plans for the day, and what kind of ceremony you're envisioning. No pressure—this is just a conversation to see if we're the right fit.

  • LCS-Emblem-Full-Color

    Step 2: Gathering Your Story

Once you've decided I'm your celebrant, I'll send you a detailed questionnaire and we'll have deeper conversations about your relationship. How you met, what you love about each other, the challenges you've overcome, the adventures you've shared plus your hopes and dreams for your future together.

  • LCS-Emblem-Full-Color

    Step 3: Crafting Your Script

I'll create and craft the first draft of your ceremony. This is where your story comes to life, woven together with warmth, humor, and heart.

  • LCS-Emblem-Full-Color

    Step 4: Refining Together

We'll go through the script together, making changes until it's exactly what you want. Too formal? We'll loosen it up. Want more laughter? I'll add it. Not enough about your shared love of terrible 80s movies? Consider it done.

  • LCS-Emblem-Full-Color

    Step 5: Your Big Day

I arrive early, calm and ready. I'll coordinate with your other suppliers, make sure everyone knows the plan, and then stand with you as you say the words that matter most. I'll keep things flowing smoothly, handle any hiccups with grace, and make sure your ceremony is everything you dreamed it would be.

What People Say

Couples choose me because I'm warm, authentic, and completely invested in making their day perfect. I put people at ease. I listen deeply. I create ceremonies that feel like them, not like something that is copy &-pasted from a generic script or AI.

I'm also incredibly organized. I'll coordinate with your suppliers, keep things running smoothly, and handle any unexpected hiccups with calm and grace. On your wedding day, you shouldn't have to worry about logistics—that's my job.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we get legally married by a celebrant in England?

Not yet, but that's changing. Currently, you'll need to complete a simple legal signing at your local register office. Most couples do this a few days before their celebrant ceremony. It takes about ten minutes, costs around £50-£70, and then you're free to have the ceremony of your dreams.
